An Ombudsman is an independent official who investigates and resolves complaints against government agencies, organizations, or institutions. Their role is to ensure fairness, transparency, and accountability by addressing issues like injustice, corruption, or misuse of power. Different sectors have their own Ombudsman, such as the Banking Ombudsman (for bank-related complaints), Insurance Ombudsman (for insurance disputes), and Education Ombudsman (for student grievances). They have the authority to investigate cases, suggest solutions, and ensure justice, helping to build public trust and good governance.
